Our shore excursion to Malta was titled "A Taste of Malta" so we got an overview of a lot of different things. We toured this church which was bombed in WWII; the bomb pierced the dome and ricocheted but didn't detonate. The church was filled with people at the time.
We went to a vineyard and got samples of a couple different wines (none of us are wine drinkers) but it was interesting nonetheless.

We also toured a glass blowing company as well as a filigree jewelry company.
Our last stop was a tour of their botanical gardens which housed wonders such as jacaranda trees, yucca and prickly pear cacti, bougainvillea & oleanders. Okay, they did have a banyan tree which we can't grow at home but other than that it was pretty reminiscent of Arizona.
