I think one of the most breathtakingly beautiful drives that anyone could ever take would be the one between Sorrento & Amalfi Italy. Rugged, rocky coastline with villas built right into the cliffs. Every turn of the road brought even more beautiful scenery. 
Lastly, I know I talked about the road - this picture doesn't quite do the smallness of it justice - but imagine 2 lanes of traffic the size of the bus going in opposite directions, plus the car parked along the side... now add in the cliffs you see in the previous pictures.
